Description

Engineered for serious off‑grid, backup and commercial duty, the Fogstar Energy 32kWh Battery delivers dense, dependable storage with safety and control designed in from the cell upwards. The 2026 revision adds integrated fire suppression and smart battery heating, so cold garages and outbuildings stop being a constraint, even in sub‑zero UK winters.

Key Features

  • 32kWh LiFePO₄ storage, 51.2V nominal, 628Ah capacity for large residential, agricultural, commercial and light‑industrial systems.

  • 300A Seplos BMS with 2A JK active balancer for tight cell control, smooth operation at high currents and long service life.

  • Built‑in heater and fire suppression for enhanced safety and reliable charging down to −10°C.

  • Scales to 16 units, enabling multi‑day autonomy or higher power systems as demand grows.

  • Low installed energy cost from £103.12 per kWh, supporting robust projects on tighter budgets.

Designed for real‑world conditions

The integrated heating system maintains the cells in their optimal working range, allowing safe charging down to −10°C and discharge down to −20°C, so unheated garages, plant rooms and outbuildings remain viable locations. A factory‑fitted, heat‑activated aerosol suppression unit inside the enclosure provides rapid localised response to thermal events without relying on external systems.

A 375A breaker and dedicated on/off isolation switch simplify safe working and routine maintenance, while the heavy‑duty steel enclosure, integrated lifting points and wheel set make a 233kg, 32kWh pack practical to move and install on site.

System integration and control

The Seplos 300A BMS manages protection, charge/discharge limits and comms, with an inbuilt 2A JK active balancer continuously trimming cell drift under demanding duty cycles. Native support for common inverter protocols makes integration straightforward with brands such as Victron, Luxpower, Solis, Sunsynk and Voltacon, reducing commissioning time and firmware headaches.

A front‑mounted LCD touchscreen gives at‑a‑glance status, alarms and basic control, which is useful during commissioning, fault‑finding and remote‑site service visits.

Cabling, scalability and support

Each unit is supplied with 1.5m, 50mm² battery cables terminated with M8 ring lugs, suitable for direct inverter connection or busbar connection where multiple units or parallel strings are used. A 1.5m communication lead is included for BMS‑to‑inverter comms, and in some topologies you may route via a DC busbar and use manufacturer‑supplied inverter tails for the final link.

Up to 16 units can be paralleled, giving project designers flexibility from single‑battery systems through to substantial commercial banks on a shared DC bus. Each battery is backed by a 6‑year warranty and 10‑year customer support commitment, aligning with long‑term off‑grid and commercial project horizons.
