JTEC miniature circuit breakers (MCB) are rated to 60Vdc and are ideal for use in low voltage dc battery, solar and wind energy systems. These devices offer a neat & convenient solution for over-current or short circuit protection, as well as for circuit isolation.

Double pole MCBs are often used for lower voltage solar pv arrays and smaller battery banks. They are designed to mount onto DIN rail, ideally in a 'distribution' box. We don't recommend MCBs under 6A as they have a higher resistance.

If being used on a battery bank, check the short-circuit potential of your battery bank is under 10kA - this is generally battery banks of under approx 1000Ah.
