Choosing a 24V battery
24V suits systems that have outgrown a single 12V battery. The same power needs half the current, so cables stay manageable and inverter losses are lower. It is a common choice for workshops, larger cabins, boats and vehicles running a 24V inverter or charger.
How much capacity you need comes down to your daily use, how many days you want in reserve, and how you charge. Solar gives far less in a UK winter, so a system that works in July may fall short in December. A generator or wind turbine changes the picture again. Check the inverter's peak rating too, because heavy starting loads can matter as much as the daily total.

24V battery questions
Can I connect it to a Victron system?
Yes. Each battery has a CAN port for a Cerbo GX or other GX device, with charge settings controlled by the battery. Check your inverter's battery settings before commissioning.
Can I add more batteries later?
Yes. Up to 16 batteries of the same size can be connected in parallel to increase capacity.
Will it work in a cold shed or boat?
The built-in heating warms the cells when it is cold, so the battery can charge safely through the winter.
