The Fogstar Drift Gen2 24V 300Ah is a high‑capacity LiFePO₄ battery designed for serious 24V off‑grid systems using larger inverters, substantial DC loads and daily cycling. By going 24V, you cut current, reduce voltage drop and make it much easier to build efficient, tidy installations in cabins, workshops, marine and specialist vehicle projects.
Drift Gen2 focuses on predictable behaviour, robust protection and accurate data rather than headline numbers. Internally, the 24V 300Ah Gen2 uses matched EVE LiFePO₄ prismatic cells in an 8‑cell configuration to deliver a nominal 25.6V pack with a deep energy reserve. LiFePO₄ chemistry gives you a flat discharge curve, strong voltage support under load and high round‑trip efficiency, making it ideal as the backbone of a 24V off-grid system. The 300A smart BMS constantly tracks individual cell voltages, pack voltage, current and multiple temperature points and will disconnect charge or load if anything goes beyond safe limits.
Gen2 electronics significantly improve measurement accuracy. The internal shunt feeds precise current information into the BMS so that state‑of‑charge and energy‑throughput figures are far more trustworthy than voltage‑only estimates. All of this data is available over Bluetooth via the Fogstar app, which shows live voltage, current, SOC, cell balance, temperatures and recent alarm events without needing an external shunt or display.
Because 24V systems often live in sheds, lockers or plant rooms, cold‑weather operation is handled automatically. If the cells are too cold to charge safely, the BMS blocks charging and uses the internal heater to bring temperatures up into a safe band before allowing current in. The enclosure is built for real‑world use, with an IP67 rating suited to damp spaces and a tough mechanical design that can tolerate vibration, movement and everyday knocks.
With 24V and 300Ah on tap, this pack can comfortably support sizeable inverters, large DC loads and extended off‑grid use when paired with suitable solar, alternator or generator charging. In a Victron setup, you simply choose lithium charge profiles in MultiPlus/Quattro and SmartSolar devices, set voltages to Fogstar’s recommended values, and let a Cerbo/Ekrano GX handle DVCC, charge limits and system‑wide monitoring.
