DC Switches, Fuses, MCBs & Distribution

DC rated fuses, MCBs and switches are all essential accessories for any off-grid, battery-based power systems. 

Larger inverters and battery banks have a high current flow and large cables, which all need to be isolated, overcurrent protected and often distributed to multiple circuits.

It's important to check the DC voltage rating of the device is suitable, as well as the current rating. Don't forget to de-rate the current to allow for warm conditions.

When fusing battery banks you also need to be aware of the kA interrupt rating of the protective device. Large battery banks need a high kA fuse. See our blog article all about kA ratings...
