Sizing a 48V battery system
48V is the standard for off-grid homes, farms and commercial sites, where higher power loads and long cable runs favour a higher voltage. Before choosing, it helps to know:
- Your winter use. This is usually the limiting season for solar-only systems in the UK.
- How many days of reserve you want if there is little sun or wind, and whether a generator is available as back-up.
- Your inverter. Check it can communicate with the battery over CAN or RS485, so charging is controlled by the battery itself.
- Where it will sit. The IP65 stacks and batteries can go in an outbuilding or on a wall, and heated versions suit unheated spaces.

What warranty do the stacks have?
The modular stacks have a 6-year warranty and are rated for 8,000 cycles at 91% depth of discharge.
How do they arrive?
